Egg Harbor’s Peg Egan Performing Arts Center set to deliver another phenomenal lineup of nationally acclaimed musical performing artists in the 2011 free Summer Sunset Concert Series.
Performing on the center’s open-air stage, this summer’s artists include: BeauSoleil avec Michael Doucet, the Saline Fiddlers, Taj Weekes & Adowa, Five by Design, 100% Natural, Harry Manx, Shout Sister Shout and the Best of the Big Top Chautauqua.
“I had one goal in mind when asked to provide programming for the Egan Center,” says Terry Lundahl, program director at the Egan Center. “I wanted to provide Door County residents, visitors and music enthusiasts with an outstanding variety of music.”
The Peg Egan outdoor amphitheater offers sweeping views of scenic landscape and sunsets over the harbor and accommodates 2,000 visitors. Attendees usually arrive fully-equipped with blankets and lawn chairs, picnic supplies and coolers to set up their spot on grass lawn of Eames Cherry View Park in Egg Harbor. The Egan Center’s concerts offer Door County visitors and local residents with a chance to enjoy warm summer nights filled with brilliant music. Light refreshments are also available from a variety of local vendors.
Nancy Fisher, Egg Harbor Village president is excited about this year’s series, “We believe the Peg Egan PAC adds another layer of artistic excellence in the county and brings people here to spend an afternoon or the weekend. The confluence of room tax revenue and this beautiful performance venue means that we can offer these programs free of charge.”
