St. Lucian recording artist Taj Weekes and his band Adowa will be performing at one of New York City’s most celebrated venues, Joe’s Pub on Saturday, August 7th at 11:30pm. Taj Weekes is a singer/songwriter, musician and humanitarian who, over the last 5 years has released 2 albums and has toured the country extensively playing ‘classic roots reggae for the conscious mind’ in front of over 200,000 fans. In 2008, the band released their second album, DEIDEM, to international critical acclaim. and they are currently recording their third album, A Waterlogged Soul Kitchen, set for release in 2010.
