The start of the Ketch ’Em Alive free live music series is a welcome sign that summer has arrived in the Wood River Valley. Founded and organized by valley artist and resident Will Caldwell, the series celebrates 12 years.

“You have to make every summer night count because they’re precious here in the Wood River Valley,” Caldwell said.

This summer Caldwell’s Ketch’em Alive line-up in Ketchum’s Forest Service Park will include a cowboy country band from Boston, Girls, Guns & Glory, to kick off the season on Tuesday, June 28. In addition, the Irish band Swagger will play on July 5, and the reggae band Red Lion from Florida will play on July 12. Other bands throughout the summer will include local rockers such as Old Death Whisper, The Bobos and Hoodwink. Bands visiting Ketchum for Tuesday night fun will be Thunder Body from New York City and Keegan Smith from Portland, Ore. Taj Weekes, a reggae band from Jamaica [ed. note: from St. Lucia], will wrap up the summer season.
