St. Lucian reggae artist Taj Weekes headlines the Cedar Cultural Center on Sunday [March 14, 2010] with his band, Adowa. Weekes remains a niche artist at this point but seems to be heading toward a more significant breakthrough with the impending release of his third album, the Hurricane Katrina-inspired "A Waterlogged Soul Kitchen." Weekes' last record, "Deidem," was called an "essential album heralding roots rock's resurgence" by Billboard.
